Description

Modular-X is a versatile industrial image processing software, providing effective solution for the optical Quality Control of your products. There are several modules and looping statements available for the users, by which even a complex problem can easily be solved. Modular-X uses the LabVIEW Vision Development Module functions of National Instruments. In case you need cutomised solution, the open interface of Modular-X gives the opportunity to run custom LabVIEW VIs by which the user can develop individual method for processing the measurement data and they can implement more complex procedures. The program supports parallel image processing, so several cameras can be present in the optical measurement system at the same time and there are varied ways of their synchronisation. Modular-X supports the communication standars those are most frequently used in industrial applications. Modular-X software package

Modular-X software package consists of two parts:
1. Creator, where the user develops quality control application.
2. Executor executes the application developed in the Creator modul. Moreover, Executor can also be run through TCP/IP connections based on client-server model.

Modules

Image acquisition: supports IDS uEye, Ximea CURRERA-R, USB, Firewire, GigE cameras, furthermore it is possible to simulate this step (loading image files from data storage).

Filter (image processing): gives an opportunity for the user to emphasise the essential information of the image by using filtering and edge enhancement algorithms.

Locate features: includes different edge detection and object detection algorithms and other connecting programming tools (coordinate system fitting, create ROI).

Presence inspection module: includes pattern matching algorithm, which determines the position of the inspected object by teaching a specific pattern or detail, if those do not always appear on the same area of the image during inspection.

Measure module: includes the intensity measurement, counting the pixels of same intensity, gauge steps and a step for implementing geometric matching and operations (of n points, fitting ellipse of n points, fitting line of n points, getting intersection of lines, etc.).

Code reading module: it makes Modular-X capable of reading 1D and 2D codes.

Digital I/Os: Modular-X supports the Digital I/O Devices produced by National Instruments.

Additional tools: Modular-X users can make complex mathematical calculations with measurement data, by using customised mathematical formulas. Furthermore there is a possibility to run customised VI developed in LabVIEW environment.

Programming tools: steps can be used in optional order, users can organise loops by using WHILE and FOR loops, which can be combined with If, Else and Else If conditional statements in order to handle the results and events those may occur during measurement. With this it is possible to categorise failures detected and to divert measurement into another direction considering the detected failure, while we can publish the results through the communication channels or even get it displayed on the screen.
